SEARCH DESCRIPTIONS

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND (see cross reference chart)
Felony & Misdemeanor criminal conviction histories are available nationwide at the county level and statewide from many states. Statewide and county level records are available for the past seven years on a given subject in most areas. Records vary form area to area but in general will list all offenses proven and the resulting consequence. Turnaround time is exceptionally fast and the low cost makes a criminal background check very affordable for all levels of employment. Employers familiar with negligent hiring or retention suits, now so popular, will note that most of these cases rest on a past history of criminal behavior.

FEDERAL CRIMINAL BACKGROUND
A search of a national criminal records index may reveal incarceration records as well as criminal docket information. 38 States currently report info as of 2/1/2003, and more are added monthly. This search is not a replacement for our comprehensive hands on statewide criminal records search, because some of the info is database stored and not all states report all info. It's low cost and broad searching capability however, makes it a great source for criminal records, without having to search each state one at a time.

SEXUAL OFFENDER SEARCH
Data is provided by each of the states and is search by individual state. The information contained in each state is compiled from various law enforcement agencies within each jurisdiction. The accuracy and completeness is believed to be as up to date as possible however the information received should not be construed as 100% exact.

CIVIL CASE HISTORY
A civil records check in conjunction with a consumer credit report can be helpful in determining a person's financial responsibility, which is sometimes a good indicator as to the individual's overall ability to handle social responsibility. The civil records check will check an individual for any civil cases, in a given county, or state where available. The search includes both defendant and plaintiff indexes and will reflect filings such as bankruptcies, tax liens, suits or judgments. 

DRIVER'S LICENSE HISTORIES(see cross reference chart)
Driver's License histories are available from all states and the District of Columbia. Records reflect form 3 to 7 years of driving history including personal data and offenses. In many states, drug and alcohol offenses are retained as a permanent part of the individual's driving record. Driving histories are valuable as part of any pre-employment screening process and can also be used periodically to check for new offenses.

WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS(see cross reference chart)
Workers' Compensation Claim records are available at the state level from 44 states. A Workers' Compensation record allows you to consider whether or not the applicant is suited for the job based upon their physical abilities. These records vary by state but normally include a full claims record, case numbers, dates, injury date, disposition of the claim and the employer of record at the time of the incident.

SOCIAL SECURITY # VERIFICATION
Our system is programmed to automatically verify the social security number given by the applicant. Where available, this feature will indicate the use of a retired, faulty, or un-issued social security #.

PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT RECORDS
Our past employment review is a verification of the data submitted by the applicant. Points of verification include dates of employment, work history, position, salary and reason for leaving. The rights and concerns of previous employers are protected, which which gives you a very high response ratio.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSE CHECK
Professional license good standing reports are available at the state level from every state, the District of Columbia and U.S. possessions. Most records will contain information concerning the applicant's licensed employment history in that area, employer of last record, current status and the area of initial transfer, if any.

EXTENDED PROFILE REPORT
This search is generally used as an extra, in-depth check to possibly uncover additional information about the applicant. The report seeks residential and employment history using all personal qualifiers given through multiple databases nationwide. The report may indicate omissions in the employment application and may add additional prior employers and/or areas of residence. The extended background report may alert you to assumed names connected with the applicant shown within the databases.
